About HorseShowSpy.com

So Why Make A Site Like This?

The creator of this site has not participated or worked in equestrian competitions for over 15 years, but those scars — both physical and emotional — from clueless judges, owners, overbearing parents, trainers, management, grooms and braiders, etc. remain. This site is his way to help prevent future generations of riders from suffering a similar fate to his own.

Recently a participant in the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida and said she saw a horse score a 76 after having a rail down! Despite modern advances in institutions like the Catholic Church and the Internet, the venerable world of competitive show jumping is still firmly stuck in the manure of the 20th century — with judges who consistently "miss the clue bus".

Or is it that just riders, trainers, and owners feel that way? Maybe the judges feel that the exhibitors just don't get it! Here's a place for all to voice their opinions!

Let's face it: objective judging of any kind isn't exactly common in our country right now. Remember the Salt Lake City Olympics Ice skating judge scandal? Contests are stolen all the time. Hunter riders have grown up in a society where politics frequently trump ability. Or is that just what they've been led to believe? Why not talk about it?

So What Does HorseShowSpy.com Do For Me?

This site provides exhibitors, trainers, judges, and anyone else involved in the world of equestrian competitions an anonymous forum where they can opine on their experiences, read about the latest judging scandal/injustice, browse horse ads, find a reputable veterinarian, or just simply vent their frustrations to the peers. Hey, misery loves company, right?

As a member, you will have full access to:

Horse Forums
Job Postings
Veterinarian Recommendations
"Don't Go There" Warnings

...And Much More!

No longer will the average, Escalade-with-a-two-horse-trailer-driving owner be left without a place to vent when her 11-year old is cheated in the short stirrup division... Nor will the equally average show exhibitor have to fly home on his or her private plane with a completely unsympathetic pilot after their horse got robbed out of the adult hunter under saddle!

Alright, I'm Sold. Now What Does It Cost?

That's the best part. It's all absolutely FREE!
